From 11:30 AM - 12 PM, join Morgan Black from the University of Victoria for a presentation on eel grass ecology and a beach seine, where a long net is dragged by hand through the water to collect intertidal species.
The animals will be viewed for a short time and then released. Morgan is a PhD candidate at the University of Victoria, and a Hakai Scholar. Her graduate research is studying the ecology and biodiversity of ancient clam gardens.
