Join us today at the People's Apothecary Garden for our second annual Community Walkthrough event! All are welcome to come sip apple cider, chat about plants, stroll through the meandering paths and get some of nature's healing for the soul.
The garden (located on Carolyn Askew's property at lot 62) will be open from 1-3 pm for drop-in visits. Proof of vaccination is not required, but please bring your own mug for apple cider. Parking is available up the road at Forbes Hall.
A variety of island-grown plant seed will be available by donation, including Evening Primrose, Plantain, Motherwort, Mullein & Yarrow. (Supplies are limited, so first come first seeded.)
Looking forward to seeing you there!

VIHA nurses will be coming over to Thetis Island on Tuesday, November 9th for our annual Flu Shot Clinic. Please drop a note to fluclinic@thetisislandfire.ca to let us know you will be attending, so the nurses will know how much serum to bring. The influenza vaccine will be available for everyone older than six months.
“This year, it’s especially important for people to get vaccinated against influenza. Last year’s low influenza rates means our immunity against influenza is lower than usual,” said Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer. “Getting your influenza vaccine this year is more important than ever to protect yourself, your community and our overstretched health-care system.”
Also, if you need a first or second Covid-19 vaccination, and you are older than twelve years, please let us know so that they will bring enough of that vaccine as well.
