We are raising 6 pigs from May to November this year and still have a small number of whole pigs or sides available for reservation. Please contact Elisabeth at info@jollityfarm.ca with an expression of interest and/or with questions.

How it works:

Similar to other CSA (community supported agriculture) programs, we will request an up front investment. This helps us farmers pay the cost of piglets and feed over the 5-6 months of care.

Our pigs are a 4 way X breed proven for their excellent meat production. They are a blend of Landrace/Yorkshire/Duroc/Hampshire.

They will be raised on pasture in rotation with chickens and goats, and will enjoy nonGMO grains with farm vegetables and fall fruit.

They are harvested at a local abattoir and you can customize your butchery order. Pigs will weigh in at approx. 190-220 lbs.

Costs & details:

You pay $5.5/lb hanging weight which includes piglet purchase, feed, husbandry, transport to abattoir and delivery of finished product. You pay the abattoir and butcher fees. You must be living on-island in November to collect your pork, as we will not be able to provide freezer space.

Abattoir $75-85/pig

Butchery (cut & wrap)  $0.90/lb

Smoking  $1.50/lb (bacon slicing costs extra)

Sausages  $3.25/lb

+ GST (only on these services)
