To help you accomplish this, Cowichan Valley Emergency Management published an Emergency Preparedness Workbook available online at

https://www.cvrd.ca/DocumentCenter/View/84184/MIECM-Emergency-Preparedness-Workbook---2017?bidId=

The " 26 Weeks " segment is a mere two pages of the workbook that is full of valuable information and worth reading all the way through. Copies are also available from your LERN captain.

Week 11 recommended assigning specific safety tasks to family members (see pages 4 & 5).

Resuming at:

Week 12

Add a windup or battery operated flashlight  and extra batteries  along with candles and waterproof matches to your kit. (see page 11).

Week 13

Add dried soups, energy bars, dried fruit, shelf-stable and other items such as peanut butter (or other nut or seed butter if allergic) to your emergency kit. Remember to swap these out before their expiration date then they can be donated to the local food bank.

Wishing you a happy Easter Weekend. Stay safe!
