If you receive a cellphone text message claiming to be from
Rogers Wireless saying that they are offering you a "gift" in compensation
for their recent Canada-wide wireless outage, and asking you to register,
DON'T REPLY. The message is not from Rogers (the sender phone number or
address is forged) -- it's a scam to try to get you to go to the crooks'
website, which will then try to get your online banking information.
Rogers' web site (https://about.rogers.com/stories/phishing-and-spam/)
says to forward any suspicious cellphone text messages to 7726 (SPAM).
