Joining the Trust Fund Board

The Trust Fund Board is made up of three elected trustees from Trust Council and Trust Council's Executive Committee, and up to three members of the public appointed by the Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.  Appointed members serve terms of up to three years. The Trust Fund Board governs the activities of the Islands Trust Fund, making final decisions regarding conservation proposals, major projects and financial management.

There is currently one vacancy on the Trust Fund Board, and a second vacancy as of June 16, 2016. Applications for these positions are now being accepted through the Board Resourcing and Development Office

If you are interested in a leadership role within land conservation and are passionate about island ecosystems, please consider applying for a position on the Trust Fund Board.  We are seeking qualified candidates with expertise in fundraising, law, natural area management, First Nations relations or knowledge of the biology and ecology of the Salish Sea islands.  Approximately six meetings per year; travel expense and honorarium provided.

Interested candidates can apply at: http://www.brdo.gov.bc.ca/apply.asp
