Have you ever wondered why some jobs take forever to start? Today I was wandering around the house wondering what I was going to do. It was raining. So no yard or garden work was going to get done. Don was busy with a carpentry project. I opted for doing the dishes.
Three job options were open for me. One, I know and love; yard and garden. Two, I know and detest; dishes. The other, carpentry; don’t understand it and avoid it like the plague.
Sometimes we don’t start a project simply because we aren’t sure how to do it.
Remember to dim the lights between 8:30 and 9:30 tonight for earth hour. See the CBC article here.

There was a passenger overload on the 10:35 ferry this morning. It meant we needed to get our boat in the water and take a quick trip over to Chemainus. What a beautiful place to come home to.

Here we are on the last day of winter, we have snowdrops giving us a few last days of their brilliant white while many other plants are coming into their blooms.
Noticed this past weekend:
Crocuses, Wild Currant, Indian Plum, Winter Aconite, Vibernum,
Early Rhodos, Daffodils, Various Catkins, Forsythia
Let us know what's blooming in your garden,
or in our natural surroundings.

We were able to fit in a Burchell Hike this afternoon, between rain showers. A few trees are down, but nothing that hinders the willing walker.
