Small Life Jackets/PFDs to Lend?

My twin 10-year-old nieces will be visiting Thetis June 14-19 and I'm wondering if anyone has two small adult or youth life jackets/PFDs I could borrow so they can go kayaking with their cousins.

2. Someone to do yard maintenance, mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, branch clean up.
3. Someone to clean machines in and out.
This work is on an island. Transport is provided.

This Week at the Pub

Another week, another round of great food coming your way!

For lunch this week we have a PORCHETTA SANDWICH on focaccia with lemon aioli, mozzarella, and salsa fresca.

And for dinner on Friday and Saturday we have:

GRILLED CAESAR SALAD WITH PRAWNS
Grilled baby gem with housemade Caesar dressing and a skewer of charbroiled prawns

Entree:
OVEN ROASTED HALIBUT
Local halibut with lemon caper veloute, braised spinach, baby potatoes, and grilled asparagus

CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
With walnuts, served with vanilla ice cream

And, Monday, June 9th we'll be open at 4pm for the hockey game, but will be closed as usual on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In celebration of this special day, we’re inviting you to a drop-in event at the Sea Life Centre at Telegraph Harbour Marina on Saturday, June 7th from 1-3pm. Come explore the fascinating world beneath the waves and meet the denizens who call the ocean home.

St. Margaret's Cemetery Clean Up: Thank You

A big thank you to the crowd who showed up on a beautiful Sunday morning to tidy up the cemetery. Many hands make light work.

Much was done: grave markers cleaned, the weeding of borders and pathways, pruning and weed whacking. David Reay community organizer extraordinaire hosted the day which included a picnic lunch and conversation in circle. There was a lot of laughter and camaraderie as we all went about this work on behalf of the cemetery.

Added note-a Black jacket was left at the cemetery in the old section. Contact David Reay.

A claw gardening tool was also left. Contact Suzanne 250-246-9965.

Hay for Sale

Capernwray harbour still has lots of hay for sale.

Good for your livestock.

Can be used for bedding.

Often used and garden compost as well. Lots of options.

For bulk orders we will do $12 dollars/bale for the first 50. Then we will do ten $10/ bale for every 50 after that.

If you cannot use the hay, please share this with someone you might know who would benefit.
