Home Depot Pick Needed

I was wondering if anyone was going into Home Depot in Duncan on Tuesday?
I need 2 - 5'x6" pieces of backsplash along with some other hardware picked up at customer service for me.

Good news, the mower will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday if needed.
So please watch for him, he could be anywhere!
Pass him with care!
Cheers Emcon Joe
We ordered a small air conditioner for our cottage, but when it arrived, and after we'd opened it, we realized they'd sent the wrong model and size. So we have to pack it up to ship it back. But the heavy-duty strapping (nylon or plastic) can't be reused. Does anyone on the island have the capacity to re-strap a large package for us? If so, or if someone else has dealt with this problem, please let us know, and what we should expect for cost? veronicashelford@gmail.com,graemeshelford@gmail.com or 250-246 1509
That Friday/Saturday rain has allowed the Fire Hazard data to change enough to drop back into HIGH and early shift activities. You can run your chainsaws, excavators, saw-mills, lawnmowers etc. until 1 pm starting Monday and then post a two hour fire watch. No solid fuel campfires are allowed. Thank you to all who are using their propane campfire appliances.
Let’s hope we can continue in HIGH and get a lot of our work done before 1 pm until it climbs back up to EXTREME again. And it would be great if we could drop down to MODERATE and use these long days.
We will keep you posted.

Good Morning -
Our peonies are coming to an end, but we still have a few buckets we would love to send to homes for you all to enjoy.
We’ll have a stand at the end of our driveway at 288 Forbes Rd starting at 9:30am until 6pm on Monday June 12th. First come first serve.
$2.00 a stem - please build your own bouquet and enjoy!
Free end cuts of pressure treated wood (not suitable for burning) and some short cuts of Timbertec planking. Might be of use to someone with a garden project. The pile is in our driveway by the little grey shed at 121 Clam Bay Road.
Please help yourself.
Text Neil if interested and I will send you a picture. 604-817-9309
Many thanks to both Capernwray and Pioneer Pacific for keeping us updated with their expected summer ferry traffic. The latest version of the schedule includes their heavy loads throughout the summer. Link https://www.thetisisland.net/ferry/current-combined-busy.pdf. Please don't just print it out and figure that's it for the summer. There are occasional updates.
If anyone else knows of any additional unusual ferry demand on specific days, please let me know so I can add it in. Thanks!

Friday our Wildfire Danger Class Rating dropped to 4 - HIGH. If this holds for two more days, Saturday and Sunday, then on Monday we can go back to “early shift” activities…completing High Hazard Activities before 1 pm and posting a two-hour fire watch following. Let us keep our fingers crossed!
The complete campfire ban, put in place by the Province, is still in place until October 31st. Use your propane campfire appliances…they throw no smoke, sparks or embers and you can shut them off completely when finished.
We will keep you posted on the Fire Danger Class ratings and let you know if we can all get back to getting our winter wood chores completed before the summer.
