Hydro Rate Increase

BC Hydro has raised its Step 2 rates from 26% to 51% which will affect those who heat with electricity.  Apparently, Gulf Island residents should be exempted from this rate hike because we do not have access to natural gas.  The BC Utilities Commission will receive comments from Gulf Islanders about this rate hike and our inability to access natural gas to heat our homes, but the comments must be filed on the correct form, and NO LATER THAN AUGUST 15th.  Click here for comment form PDF.   Click here to download comment form in Word.
