Speeding Drivers!

This is a message to the driver who drove past me at very high speed yesterday afternoon between Marina Drive and Blue Heron (and anyone else who gets a thrill out of speeding on Thetis): it was about 3pm and the day was still bright, I was wearing a hi-vis vest and walking on the shoulder facing traffic.

What more is a person to do to be safe on the Thetis roads? Surely you saw me, but you still drove by at an incredibly high speed, and I could hear you continue on at the same speed around that dangerous bend, the one where a terrible accident involving a speeding car and pedestrians already happened before.

Mainroad had even just sent an eSpokes to ask the public to use caution on the roads as they would be busy working cleaning our roads.

What exactly goes on in your mind when you fly by as you did today?

Anaïs
