SPECIAL MEETING RE: SPECIAL RESOLUTION: OCTOBER 27TH, 2022

You are receiving this Meeting Notification personally, as you and or your family, are members of record of TIRRA (Thetis Island Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association).
Written notice of meetings is required 21 days in advance as per BC Societies Act, to which we must comply.
There will be one agenda item at this meeting:
Seek member approval regarding proposed Bylaw amendments recommended by TIRRA Executive at the Oct 6th General Member Meeting.
BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION:
That the Bylaw Amendments recommended by the TIRRA Executive be adopted:
a. Article IV: DUTIES OF OFFICERS: 3.b) Duties of Secretary [as to member and property owner records]
b. Article VI: GENERAL AND SPECIAL MEETINGS: 4. Personal Notifications, 5. Posting Notices, 12.1 Motions of Ordinary business, 12.2 Motions regarding Parcel Tax, 12.3 Majority thresholds [as to notification and voting methods, written ballots and mail - in voting, and thresholds for majority in special resolutions]
c. Article X: AMENDMENTS: [as to process for bylaw amendments]
The proposed bylaw amendments have been posted on Constitution and Bylaws and Meeting Notifications pages of TIRRA website on thetisisland.net.
