National Volunteer Week 2023

April 16th - 22nd

National Volunteer Week (NVW) a week-long celebration of volunteering that takes place every year during April. It's a time to celebrate and thank Canada’s 24 million volunteers, including Thetis Island Volunteers and supporters without whom so many of Canada’s organizations and programs would not be able to function.

Celebrating BC’s volunteers (YOU) and highlighting the many groups that create a strong interconnected and vibrant community here on Thetis Island, and including our neighbours on Penelakut, Vancouver Island and Gulf islands.

The National Volunteer Week theme for 2023 is Volunteering Weaves Us Together. National Volunteer Week brings together events, stories, and activities to celebrate everything wonderful about volunteering. Volunteering that weaves us together by sharing our time, talent and energy to support one another. Through our interconnected actions we demonstrate the importance of volunteering to the strength and vibrancy of our community here on Thetis Island. So, thanks to you, for all you do.

Anne-Marie
