Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:28PM This is Anaïs, from Jollity Farm. My friend Clair and I will need to get to Nanaimo on Tuesday, October 15th, and we were wondering whether we could hitch a ride from Thetis with anyone?
We would need to get there around 12 noon, but we don't mind getting there earlier or a little later.

Thanks to your generosity the Fund has been successful in meeting many of these needs.
Each October the Community Fund makes an appeal for donations. We hope that this year you will once again show your generosity by donating to the Fund. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbours who find themselves in need.
There are three ways to donate: Send a cheque payable to the Thetis Island Community Fund to TICF, Box 12-14, Thetis Island, BC, V0R 2Y0; click here to donate through our website using the security of PayPal; or if you annually give to the United Way, designate the Thetis Island Community Fund on your United Way form. Canada Revenue Agency tax receipts will be issued for all donations.

Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:30AM For the month of October, Soup's On will be sponsoring a Food Drive for Harvest House in Chemainus.
Please bring any non-perishable food items along with you when you come to Soup's On. There will be boxes in the entry hall for you to drop off your donations.
Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 7:50AM Leslie Lundgren from All Sorted Out Organizing will be on Thetis, Wed. Oct 9th from 10 until noon in the library at Forbes Hall. If you'd like to tweak your system or begin one(?), Les will inspire you to do so.
If you have missed the e-spokes about this event, call ahead to register with Cathy Yeomans 250.246.4063 or 250.210.1871 so there will be a handout for you. Bring refreshment, pen or pencil, and a sense of humour.
The Soup's On that follows features Midwest Chowder and Herbed Biscuits...mmm
