Thank You

I would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to TIVFD and the First Responders who came to my assistance on Sept. 19th.  A short time after our 911 call the First Responders arrived at our home and they proceeded to look after me with compassion and professionalism.  They calmed me and explained everything they were going to do in getting me transported to the ambulance and to the ambulance boat. 

So, a big Thank You to:

FFs Johnny Cullen-Keidann and Pierre Henry,

and Rookies Marjan Jackman, Julian Jackman, Yuma Saito, Norm Kasting and Margaret Woodhouse.

Forbes Hall Library

Each week there are scheduled times when a volunteer library attendant is on duty. 

We look forward to having you join us, we’re there to answer questions, talk about ideas, and generally there to help you out, if needed.  On Sundays we offer tea and goodies – a happy place to meet for a chat with fellow island bibliophiles.

Hours:

Saturday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

Sunday 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

Monday 10:00 am until 1:00 pm

The library is always open after 10:00 am when there is a Community Activity at the hall and the entry door is open.  We have a simple honour system for signing out books and DVDs, instructions are at the sign out desk.  If you need help, ask the attendant on duty.  For returns, when the building is closed, please use the drop box by the Courtside Entrance.

We hope you enjoy our lovely little island library.

Vandalism to Tires

Beware!!!! Horrible news.  Our vehicle tires have been slashed while parked on Thetis Island at the ferry terminal.

We are horrified that this sort of person exists on Thetis Island.

PAG - New Open Hours

Hello,

The People's Apothecary Garden open hours have been changed from Thursdays to Sundays. The PAG will be open from 9-11 on Sunday until the end of October, and then we will have our annual PAG Appreciation event, complete with cider. Keep your eyes peeled for details!

Thetis cyclists are invited to ride in the Tour de Thetis Saturday at 9 a.m. starting at the community centre. It's free, not a race, and welcomes riders of all shapes, talents and ages. Aim to finish at 11 a.m. at the centre for a chat and cookies.
