Looking for a Certified Financial Planner with US/Canada Expertise

We would like to consult a certified financial planner who has expertise in US/Canada cross-border financial issues.  We would prefer someone working for an hourly fee, not someone on commission with a financial institution.

If you know of anyone suitable, please email me.
Thanks,

Wanted Free Gas Weed Whacker

I am designing a self-directed learning project to enhance my knowledge of engines. I am hoping to locate an old weed whacker that is in ok condition that could be donated for this cause.

It doesn’t have to run but that is preferred.

If you can help, please text Matti at 250-416-9138. Thanks

Derelict Mooring Lines...

We, Ken and Genny Redman, went out on our boat Saturday and our prop got totally fouled up with an old mooring that had sunk. Our engine stopped as we could not go forward or in reverse. So, we were drifting, and Ken was trying to pull our boat back to the mooring buoy.

We had one good Samaritan from Telegraph Harbour Marina who came and helped us tie back onto the mooring buoy and Peter Luckham also came and helped us. We spent an hour diving, and we did get all the old rope cut off.  There was a lot of rope plus a piece of garbage and the old mooring was tied with a go-cart tire. I have sent photos that I hope will be posted on the community website. This is a very good reason for us all to help clean up our harbour as all the debris is a hazard to all boaters. If you have an old mooring buoy that has sunk, it is your responsibility to take care of what is left from the mooring.

Gratitude from the Farm

There are many people who have contributed greatly to help us grow Jollity Farm over the years. We are grateful to you all. But we need to send an extra big THANK YOU to some very dedicated, skillful and caring folks, who truly help make this community farm run. These wonderful humans show up rain, heat wave, through mosquitoinfestations and early on cold mornings to help harvest, prepare and preserve food. It is only because they offer helping hands that we can harvest so much fresh food every Saturday. We are only able to cook up all these delicious foods to share because, like us, they delight in deliciousness and are seriously committed to food security and community.

It's hard to express the depth of our gratitude and appreciation for these fine folks, but we'll say THANK YOU and THANK YOU again. We feel so lucky to live in such a place, where people care so much.

To Finn, Liz, Ellen, Tony, Michelle, Erica, Tracy - we wouldn't want to do it without you - thanks for your creative ideas, innovative solutions, hard work, dedication, attention to detail, commitment,
appreciation, friendship, laughter and good stories.

Noah and Elisabeth

We've got lots of freshly picked veggies available, so our kiosk will be stocked up today from 11am.

If you'd like eggs, ice cream, kombucha, dumplings or sausages, email or text and we can put in the cooler or come on up to the farm.
