I will be splitting my shift with Zola Blue. This affords an assurance of continuity if I get sick or injured (which, given last month is a definite probability) and vice versa. Please extend Zola all of the gracious courtesy that you have extended me over the last 2 months (yep it has been 2 months).
In regards to parcels:
- Parcels going to Europe have to be EXACT in their addressing. One misspell and they get kicked back. I discussed this with my neighbour who has been sending parcels to the Czech Republic for years and he had one kicked back because he used a c instead of a k even though he had the postal code.
- Tags. A few of you have asked me to leave small parcels in your postal box. For me to do that I have to scan the parcel out and accept responsibility for what happens to the parcel. Not my role. That is why you have to come to the PO and get it scanned out so I know you have your parcel.
- If you don't have a tag but have an email tracking code that is fine ()phone or paper). But don't come down with the old tag later and expect a parcel.
Hours:
We are open Monday to Saturday. Would appreciate parcel pick up after 1230 as we use the mornings to sort and deliver to the PO boxes. We then grab lunch and are ready to go. However if you are there in the morning for whatever reason we can give you a parcel if you have one.
This week has been a mess due to the ferry going down twice. Travis managed to get 3 days worth of mail to me at 3:30PM yesterday. I will try to have all of the mail in the boxes by 1230 and will scan parcels all day to catch up. Hoping to be back on schedule today and caught up by Friday afternoon.
Terry Martin you need to come in and get your PO box key
Chaisson/Van Kleef you left your keys in the mail box door you can find them at the PO
A question I get asked a lot is what are the Pub/restaurant hours: Thursday to Monday 11:30 to 7:PM. Kitchen closes at 6:30PM. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday
