Campfire Season

It’s warming up quickly and campfire season is upon us.

Campfires require a permit from April 1 to November 1st

And as you know, we normally have to shut down campfires during the HIGH and EXTREME Fire Hazard months.

Why not hedge your bet and purchase a propane campfire this year?  Propane is now available at the pub at a comparable price to Vancouver Island. And Costco, Walmart and even Amazon.ca with free shipping all sell UL approved Outland Fire Bowl Portable Propane Campfires for under $120.  Propane campfires do not send smoke or sparks into the air nor do they have hot embers to deal with after the fire.  These UL Approved campfires are allowed here and in Provincial Parks even when there is a complete Fire Ban in effect.

Many people are finding the propane campfire a pleasing and cost-effective alternative to the historical wood-fuelled campfire and it is by far a much safer way to enjoy your marshmallows and sing-alongs on a summer evening.
