Ferry Rally, Tuesday March 11, Victoria 11:30-1:30
Thanks to the dedication and incredible work of the ferry advisory committee for creating a ferry schedule that works for us and BC Ferries. The work of fixing the problem still needs support.
The Rally in Victoria is our opportunity to show the Province, the Media and the rest of British Columbia that the ferry needs provincial attention to fix the financial viability of our marine highway.
Sue French and I are planning on going in Sue's car to the Rally, leaving on the 9:00 ferry.
If there are others that would like to join us or someone that has a van or vans that can hold more people pleases contact us to arrange. Lets show our support for our FAC and and all the people that have dedicated themselves to fixing the ferry service.
It's possible we could be back on the 3:30 ferry, if you wish to come think about layers of clothing, rain protection, bringing a lunch, snacks and water or refreshments.

A big Thank You to all those who attended one of Fire Captain Tom Milliken's six seminars on the new public access Automated External Defibrillator now installed at Forbes Hall.
All together, seventy residents attended and now know what the difference is between a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest, why we call 911 immediately, and how to use the AED.
The Fire Department is pleased with the interest shown and feel there is a good level of skill and understanding amongst community members to handle a cardiac arrest at the community centre.
We know that a person doesn't learn this skill to help themselves, and it shows what a caring community we have.

The library will be offering a literacy/activity program for 6 and 7 year olds from July 7-11. Each day will include reading one or more books and having fun with a related activity. Maybe art, math, outdoor, indoor etc.
You may leave your child, grandchild, niece, nephew etc. for a morning activity each day. Details of hours will be announced.
$10 for the week seems reasonable. If payment is difficult, we can talk.
Please let Celine know if you are interested or have questions.
