Post Office Parcels and Use of PO Boxes

First off Zola and I would like to thank all of you who have been so supportive of us in the running of the PO.  It has been much appreciated. It helps us enjoy our job.  I have only been at it for 3 months and Zola for about a month.  There is much more to learn but we are getting there.

Parcels
The tags we use for the parcels are what Canada post has given us.  They are light.  When you pull them out of the box you can lose them.  I have picked up a number on the ground at the PO boxes.  Please pay attention when you collect your mail to ensure you do not lose these tags.  We had a situation where someone came in and saw their parcel but had no tag.  A few minutes later someone else came in and said they found the tag on the ground.  Makes life a lot easier when you have the tag.  Remember parcel post can be from 3 days to 6 weeks before it arrives.  Regular mail the same.  If you do not know what you have ordered but you THINK you may have one, we will THINK it has not arrived.

Multi-use PO boxes
If you are one of many using the same PO box and do not want other addressee's picking up your mail then please let us know.  If you do not want others to pick up your mail, then we will put you in General Delivery and you can pick up your mail directly.  Otherwise whoever has that box for an address can pick up all of the mail unless we are advised otherwise.

Again thanks for all of the support and conversations.

Fred and Zola

Help Needed: PAG Today 9 - 11

Hello,

The PAG will be open today between 9 -11 am. As always, feel free to drop by to enjoy the space and/or harvest!

I am also looking for some volunteers to give me a hand laying the last of the woodchips, kindly donated by Jim Moloney, or helping to clean up the destruction, disorder, and chaos left in the wake of one hungry deer (it's actually not that bad)!

Many thanks,
Charlotte, Education and Stewardship Coordinator, ThINC

Volunteers for eSPOKES

We are looking for a few volunteers who could take turns posting the daily eSPOKES emails.

Usually, we take it by the month, but other arrangements could be considered.
The pdf of our Guidelines will give you an idea of how this works; eSPOKES is a committee of T.I.R.R.A.
Please feel free to ask questions if you think you might be interested. Contact me at:

On the Hunt for a Bookshelf!

Hello folks! I am on the lookout for a bookshelf - I have too many books! I'd love a bigger one but only have space for one that's three feet wide-ish. In a perfect world it would be closed in (with doors) but I'm also happy with an open faced one. Happy to pay and can pick up on Sunday or Monday.

Please send photo and price to harbourcitycontent@gmail.com
I so appreciate this incredible community!

Jollity Farm Update

We have received an overwhelming amount of support to our call for volunteers. WOW...THANK YOU!
The project is scheduled for this SUNDAY, as this is the day that works best for the majority.
11am is the start time.

If you have offered to bring a leaf blower, we say "yes please and thanks".
Electric/battery powered will be best as we can't run many extension cords up there.

If you aren't transporting a leaf blower, please park in the lower lots and walk on up.

If you don't want to stay for a BBQ, please let us know, otherwise we will assume you are.
