YAHOO!

The Book and Bake Sale was fabulous!  I would like to thank the 19 volunteers.  You know who you are.  What a team. We couldn't have done it without the amazing baking and numerous books and DVDs donated.  All the baking was sold.

The total was:
Baking (along with coffee, muffins, and sandwiches) $1203.00
Book and DVDs $882.45
TOTAL
$2085.45

Oh, oh! I forgot to thank all the people who came to the book and bake sale.

You are a generous group.  This is a special island for sure.

Change Your Routine and Change a Life

The Thetis Island Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking new members for our vital community emergency services.  We will be starting Rookie training is September and invite you to consider committing two hours a week to train with us.  You don’t have to be athletic, just reasonably fit and willing to be a team member.  Age is not important.  We have a strong culture of safety and confidentiality.  Our focus is  to make a difference when someone suddenly needs help.

Email info@thetisislandfire.ca and we will be delighted to give you more info.
The link below is to a short news item about a small community like ours, and the rewards a resident found when volunteering for that department.
