Grow Your Own Mushrooms!

New product available for preview this Saturday at Jollity Farm from our
friends at Foragers Galley.

Perhaps you remember these adventurous young men sailing into our
harbour 9 years ago? They biked around discovering farmed, roasted and
foraged foods on our little island. Then they cooked up a feast aboard
their vessel and made a wonderful little video about their trip. You can

Their business has continued to evolve and we are proud to support their
wonderful new endeavor.

You will be able to grow your own fresh mushrooms at home, with the
varieties listed below, and your kit comes with everything you need:
Blue Oyster / Lion's Mane / Pink Oyster / Reishi

If you prefer to order dried or fresh we'll be adding those options to
our weekly offerings soon. We will be offering Grow Your Own Mushroom
Kits for sale at the farm beginning on Saturday, June 26. Come by this
weekend to check out the samples, learn more and place an order.

Theft at Capernwray Harbour Dock

We want to let the community members know that a green tandem kayak was stolen from our dock last Tuesday night.  Be aware of possible thieves in the area, and please let us know if you happen to see our kayak.

People are arriving for their 2nd shots without the card they received for the first one.  PLEASE find it and it, it's really slowing down the process of entering who you are into the system before they give you that second shot. 

And of course, your care card, registration confirmation code - whatever you have to speed this along.

Today - Last Day to Book Your Vaccination on Thetis

Today, Tuesday, is the last day before the Thetis Vaccination Clinic starts.  If you haven't yet booked, there is still room on Thursday, June 17, but if you run into trouble with the booking, we have only until 2:30 this afternoon to help you if we can. Remember, this is the last clinic here on Thetis.  If you miss it, you will have to travel elsewhere at a later date.

Book online if you can.  You need your Personal Health Number (PHN) as well as your registration confirmation code.  Or you can book by phone. The call centre booking number is 1-833-838-2323. The booking agents are
not always in BC and will not know where Thetis Island is.  (The postalcode for Thetis is V0R 2Y0.)  If you are told that you need to wait eight weeks, be aware that if you received your first shot here in April
VIHA has made special  arrangements so that you can get your second shot this week...at seven weeks from your first.

If you have trouble getting booked online or by phone, let us know immediately by email with your PHN BEFORE 2:30 and we will try to sort it out for you.

Solid maple Galley trestle table 45 x 68 inches, includes 2 - 12 inch leaves - beautiful dark hickory stain

6  matching Newport dining chairs - solid maple wood in dark hickory stain.  Chair seat is upholstered in a creamy seashell colour material 

We may have used this set a total of a dozen times.  Our space here is too small for this set, otherwise we would be keeping it.

In excellent shape.  Couple of surface scratches.  Upholstered chairs have no marks or stains at all. Smoke free home

Telus Booster for Internet

We are Telus customers, and we have received calls about their new product. Apparently, it plugs into your electrical socket and increases internet speeds, without requiring any other wiring or changes.

Has anyone on Thetis tried this new product? If so, we would find it helpful to learn about your experience so far.

By looking at the Telus website, we think the product is called a Smart Hub, but we could be wrong.
