Capernwray Virtual Christmas Carolling & Message

To our Dear Thetis Island Neighbours

Though we couldn’t go ahead with our annual tradition this year where staff and students alike visit Thetis Island homes to bring yuletide cheer through song, we decided instead to bring our sincere and best wishes for a very Merry Christmas to you virtually instead.

Join with us in singing some well-loved Christmas carols from the comfort of your own home followed by a message on the true meaning of Christmas on YouTube:

Capernwray Virtual Christmas Carolling https://youtu.be/GhnlzTAUv0w

The Students and Staff of Capernwray wish you, your family & friends, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Recycling Run to Bing's Creek

We've got some chores to do in Duncan next Tue Dec 8th including a trip to Bing's.

The truck and trailer will be mostly empty so I'd be happy to take your recycling too. (Not doing garbage).

Your stuff will need to be clean and sorted into the different categories handled by Bing's:

- paper and cardboard can be together

- glass

- stretchy plastic

- crinkly plastic

- tin cans, milk bottles, plastic bottles etc. Can be together

Please put each lot into a plastic bag or cardboard box, which will also get recycled.

You can bring it to our place on Monday, or to the 8:05am ferry line-up on Tuesday morning. (Will be in line around 7:30).

Celebrating International Volunteer Day (IVD) December 5

IVD is a global celebration of volunteers. It takes place every year on December 5 to shine a light on the impact of volunteer efforts everywhere. This year’s theme – Together We Can Through Volunteering– developed by United Nations Volunteers, encourages us to thank volunteers for their actions and showcase the impact of volunteering during the COVID-19 crisis.

It is with sincere appreciation that I thank you -  All Thetis Island volunteers and applaud your extra efforts in these extraordinary times.

Sending you all the very best wishes for the Christmas and holiday season.  Continued good health and happiness for you and your family(s).

I wish for you the gift of an ordinary day.

Anne-Marie
