I have 5 Pizza Gift Certificates to sell with all proceeds going to Forbes Hall fundraising.

As always you pay $20 for a gift certificate worth $25 worth of product.

Cedar Beach Pizza will be closed Dec 14 until February 1, 2021 while I

recover from hip surgery. Gift certificates will be valid until Feb 1,

2022 to give the recipients a full year to redeem.

Openings available both Saturday and Sunday evenings this weekend and next.

TIVFD: Looking for Someone to do a Simple Sewing Project

The TIVFD has purchased some Honeywell Uvex welding face shields as PPE for First Responder calls and we need some fleece bags made to store them in on the Rescue so they don’t get scratched.  

We have the fleece material. We just need someone with a machine to seam them into bags to fit.  

There is a photo on Thetis Posts, showing the size; they fit into the short paper Thrifty’s grocery bag.  Please write to chief11@telus.net if you can manufacture some for us.

Thetis Island Marina & Pub: Saturday and Sunday Specials

Saturday and Sunday breakfast special is a classic bacon or sausage breakfast with hashbrowns, your choice of eggs and your choice of toast for $12.99 

Also featured is Eggs Benedict with back bacon and hashbrowns for $13.99 

Just a reminder the pub is closed Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesday's. The liquor store, gas dock, and general store are still open our regular hours.

Trails: A Big Thank You

To Chris Call for removing sections of downed trees to make the Lawrence Valley Loop passable again. 

He also cut the sections into disks for use as stepping stones in wet sections - we appreciate your hard work!  And another big thank you to Noah and Finn Bond for carrying the disks to where they were needed.  

We couldn’t maintain the trail system that Islanders enjoy without the help of volunteers like Chris, Noah and Finn.

Harvest House Hamper Drive

The first delivery of your Thetis Island grocery donations to the food bank in Chemainus was made Thursday by volunteer driver Amanda Frisby, much to our thanks and great appreciation from Harvest House.  

You now have until December 16th to drop off your non-expired grocery items in the box at the front door of the Fire Hall.  

Merry Gooding has volunteered to transport those, so let’s “load ‘er up” with more non-perishable items that will help to feed and comfort those neighbours struggling this year to make ends meet with the added burden of the pandemic.

There are a small number of 18-20 lb turkeys still available for pickup on December 22. $5/lb. ($11/kg)

They are pasture raised in Saltair.

I have lost the user name and password on my phone AP "Easy Bullet" that allows tuning of the Coast Marine WiFi antenna system. This Saanich company is no longer in business.

This weekend Dec 5th and 6th I will be selling my jams and jellies at the end of our driveway. You will find us at 162 Pilkey Point Road. All jams are $5 Marmalade is $7. Have gift packages too.
